Independence for Lorena: powered wheelchair

Lorena lives with cerebral palsy. The occupational therapist at Guarulhos General Hospital has assessed her and recommended a powered wheelchair. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $1,950. Her current equipment is 8 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined her to home for 12 weeks. With the right equipment Lorena could join the school sports day. It would change everyday life for the whole family. We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest. Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing.
