Independence for Lilian: communication tablet with eye tracking
A communication tablet with eye tracking would give Lilian independence - we're $800 away.
🇺🇬 Jinja, Eastern Region, Uganda1,833 views
Lilian lives with a rare neuromuscular condition. The occupational therapist at the Jinja Rehabilitation Centre has assessed her and recommended a communication tablet with eye tracking. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $800.
Her current equipment is 13 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined her to home for 7 weeks.
With the right equipment Lilian could join the school sports day. It would change everyday life for the whole family.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
I'll pay the supplier directly from the funds, and I'll post a photo once the equipment is delivered.
Where the $800 goes:
• communication tablet with eye tracking: $660
• Fitting and training sessions: $35
• Delivery and set-up: $25
• First-year servicing plan: $80
I'll pay this kindness forward the moment I'm able to.
