Independence for Kwame: adapted tricycle
Kwame needs an adapted tricycle that the health system won't fund; the cost is $1,050.

Kwame lives with multiple sclerosis. The occupational therapist at the Kumasi Mobility Clinic has assessed him and recommended an adapted tricycle. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $1,050.
His current equipment is 14 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined him to home for 8 weeks.
With the right equipment Kwame could get to the shops and visit friends. It would change everyday life for the whole family.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
I'll pay the supplier directly from the funds, and I'll post a photo once the equipment is delivered.
Where the $1,050 goes:
• adapted tricycle: $940
• Fitting and training sessions: $35
• Delivery and set-up: $25
• First-year servicing plan: $50

how is Kwame doing now?
good luck, Prince. This could happen to any of us. My colleague had a similar thing happen so this one hit home.
Sending strength. Looking forward to the next update. Greetings from Los Angeles
