I live with muscular dystrophy. My occupational therapist at the Taguig Mobility Clinic has assessed me and recommended a prosthetic leg. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $1,250. My current equipment is 8 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined me to home for 7 weeks. With the right equipment I could speak with the people around her. It would change my everyday life and my ability to work from home. We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest. Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing. Where the $1,250 goes: • prosthetic leg: $1,150 • Fitting and training sessions: $20 • Delivery and set-up: $15 • First-year servicing plan: $65 If you can't give, please share this page. It does reach people. - Kristine

  • Hope it all works out, Kristine. Hope you get there. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. All the best.
