Independence for Kehinde: prosthetic leg
A prosthetic leg would give Kehinde independence - we're $700 away.
🇳🇬 Ogbomosho, Oyo, Nigeria1,166 views
Kehinde lives with a spinal cord injury. The occupational therapist at the Ogbomosho Rehabilitation Centre has assessed her and recommended a prosthetic leg. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $700.
Her current equipment is 12 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined her to home for 3 weeks.
With the right equipment Kehinde could go to school independently. It would change everyday life for the whole family.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing.
Where the $700 goes:
• prosthetic leg: $580
• Fitting and training sessions: $45
• Delivery and set-up: $25
• First-year servicing plan: $50

Stay strong. Hope the treatment goes smoothly and recovery is quick. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. Blessings.
