Jabalpur
Kamrul lives with cerebral palsy. The occupational therapist at the Jabalpur Rehabilitation Centre has assessed him and recommended a cochlear implant processor upgrade. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $1,100. His current equipment is 14 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined him to home for 6 weeks. With the right equipment Kamrul could get to the shops and visit friends. It would change everyday life for the whole family. We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest. I'll pay the supplier directly from the funds, and I'll post a photo once the equipment is delivered. Where the $1,100 goes: • cochlear implant processor upgrade: $1,000 • Fitting and training sessions: $55 • Delivery and set-up: $10 • First-year servicing plan: $35 You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it.
