Independence for Javeria: cochlear implant processor upgrade
Javeria needs a cochlear implant processor upgrade that the health system will not fund; the cost is $350.

Javeria lives with muscular dystrophy. The occupational therapist at Multan General Hospital has assessed her and recommended a cochlear implant processor upgrade. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $350.
Her current equipment is 9 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined her to home for 6 weeks.
With the right equipment Javeria could attend work interviews. It would change everyday life for the whole family.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
I'll pay the supplier directly from the funds, and I'll post a photo once the equipment is delivered.
Where the $350 goes:
• cochlear implant processor upgrade: $270
• Fitting and training sessions: $35
• Delivery and set-up: $15
• First-year servicing plan: $30
Glad we found this place.
