Independence for Jae-won: prosthetic leg
A prosthetic leg would give Jae-won independence - we're $3,000 away.
🇰🇷 Daegu, Daegu, South Korea999 views
Jae-won lives with low vision from retinitis pigmentosa. The occupational therapist at Daegu General Hospital has assessed him and recommended a prosthetic leg. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $3,000.
His current equipment is 15 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined him to home for 7 weeks.
With the right equipment Jae-won could speak with the people around him. It would change everyday life for the whole family.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing.
Where the $3,000 goes:
• First-year servicing plan: $180
• prosthetic leg: $2,750
• Delivery and set-up: $70

Sending love, Ji-hye. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. My husband and I read this together
praying for you, Ji-hye. Hope this works out for you. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money. Greetings from Adama.
Good luck, Ji-hye. Hope the doctors have good news. All the best.
