Independence for Itzel: stair-climbing aid
Itzel needs a stair-climbing aid that the health system won't fund; the cost is $2,650.

Itzel lives with multiple sclerosis. The occupational therapist at the Bogotá Mobility Clinic has assessed her and recommended a stair-climbing aid. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $2,650.
Her current equipment is 13 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined her to home for 8 weeks.
With the right equipment Itzel could join the school sports day. It would change everyday life for the whole family.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing.
Where the $2,650 goes:
• stair-climbing aid: $2,500
• Fitting and training sessions: $30
• Delivery and set-up: $50
• First-year servicing plan: $70
Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.
