Independence for Isabelle: powered wheelchair
A powered wheelchair would give Isabelle independence - we're $4,150 away.
🇺🇸 Fayetteville, North Carolina, United States845 views
Isabelle lives with an amputation below the knee. The occupational therapist at the Fayetteville Rehabilitation Centre has assessed her and recommended a powered wheelchair. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $4,150.
Her current equipment is 12 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined her to home for 12 weeks.
With the right equipment Isabelle could speak with the people around her. It would change everyday life for the whole family.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
I'll pay the supplier directly from the funds, and I'll post a photo once the equipment is delivered.
Where the $4,150 goes:
• Fitting and training sessions: $195
• Delivery and set-up: $165
• powered wheelchair: $3,790

Thinking of you, Natalia. Shared it with a few friends. We're a small family in Cox's Bazar but we're thinking of you. Blessings
Thinking of you. Hope the treatment goes smoothly and recovery is quick. Blessings.
I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Sent it to 24 people at work
is there anything that isn't money that would help Isabelle?
Thank you. If you're in Fayetteville I'll say if something practical comes up. For now sharing this is great. Good question.
Wishing you peace, Natalia. This could happen to any of us. I went through something like this 7 years ago and strangers helped me out. Greetings from Bhaktapur.
I hope things turn around soon. I went through something like this 11 years ago and strangers helped me out. Take care
Hope things get better soon. It takes guts to ask. Well done. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. Greetings from Nsukka
