Independence for Ingrid: communication tablet with eye tracking
Ingrid needs a communication tablet with eye tracking that the health system won't fund; the cost is $1,050.

Ingrid lives with multiple sclerosis. The occupational therapist at Porto Alegre General Hospital has assessed her and recommended a communication tablet with eye tracking. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $1,050.
Her current equipment is 11 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined her to home for 6 weeks.
With the right equipment Ingrid could speak with the people around her. It would change everyday life for the whole family.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing.
Where the $1,050 goes:
• Delivery and set-up: $50
• communication tablet with eye tracking: $960
• Fitting and training sessions: $40
Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.
