Independence for Hasitha: cochlear implant processor upgrade
Help Hasitha get a cochlear implant processor upgrade so He can go outside without waiting for someone to push.
🇱🇰 Sri Lanka2,817 views
Hasitha lives with low vision from retinitis pigmentosa. The occupational therapist at Galle General Hospital has assessed him and recommended a cochlear implant processor upgrade. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $1,550.
His current equipment is 9 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined him to home for 5 weeks.
With the right equipment Hasitha could go outside without waiting for someone to push. It would change everyday life for the whole family.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing.
Where the $1,550 goes:
• cochlear implant processor upgrade: $1,450
• Fitting and training sessions: $60
• Delivery and set-up: $20
• First-year servicing plan: $20
Thanks for being kind about this.

best of luck. Hope the treatment goes smoothly and recovery is quick. Sent it to 9 people at work. Love from Memphis.
Keep going. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. I went through something like this 10 years ago and strangers helped me out. Love from Shinjuku
So sorry you're going through this, Oshan. It takes guts to ask. Well done. All the best
