Independence for Hani: prosthetic leg
Help Hani get a prosthetic leg so She can speak with the people around her.
🇮🇩 Jakarta, DKI Jakarta, Indonesia1,089 views
I live with profound hearing loss. My occupational therapist at the Jakarta Rehabilitation Centre has assessed me and recommended a prosthetic leg. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $750.
My current equipment is 12 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined me to home for 6 weeks.
With the right equipment I could speak with the people around her. It would change my everyday life and my ability to work from home.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing.
Where the $750 goes:
• First-year servicing plan: $25
• prosthetic leg: $690
• Fitting and training sessions: $35
Every share and every dollar helps.

your post was clear and honest. I went through something like this 7 years ago and strangers helped me out. Love from Niterói.
So sorry you're going through this, Hani. This could happen to any of us.
Sending good thoughts. Shared it with a few friends. My neighbor in Cairo donated after I showed her your page.
praying for you, Hani. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. After 27 years in engineering I know how hard it's to ask for anything.
Keep going. Hope you get there. My husband and I read this together. God bless!
