Independence for Hang: prosthetic leg
Help Hang get a prosthetic leg so He can go to school independently.
🇨🇦 Kelowna, British Columbia, Canada943 views
I live with a rare neuromuscular condition. My occupational therapist at Kelowna General Hospital has assessed me and recommended a prosthetic leg. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $3,400.
My current equipment is 13 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined me to home for 12 weeks.
With the right equipment I could go to school independently. It would change my everyday life and my ability to work from home.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing.
Where the $3,400 goes:
• Delivery and set-up: $170
• First-year servicing plan: $240
• prosthetic leg: $2,990
Thanks for being kind about this.
