Håkan needs a powered wheelchair that the health system won't fund; the cost is $7,300.

Håkan lives with low vision from retinitis pigmentosa. The occupational therapist at Malmö General Hospital has assessed him and recommended a powered wheelchair. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $7,300.
His current equipment is 8 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined him to home for 10 weeks.
With the right equipment Håkan could go outside without waiting for someone to push. It would change everyday life for the whole family.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
I'll pay the supplier directly from the funds, and I'll post a photo once the equipment is delivered.
