I live with a rare neuromuscular condition. My occupational therapist at Fresno General Hospital has assessed me and recommended a stair-climbing aid. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $650. My current equipment is 13 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined me to home for 3 weeks. With the right equipment I could attend work interviews. It would change my everyday life and my ability to work from home. We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest. Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing. Where the $650 goes: • First-year servicing plan: $160 • Delivery and set-up: $130 • Fitting and training sessions: $360 Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot. - Grace

  • Keep going. Hope this works out for you. I have a 8 year old who wants to send good wishes too.

    • You're not alone, Grace. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier.

      • Take care, Grace. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Don't give up.
