Quezon City
Gilbert lives with a spinal cord injury. The occupational therapist at the Quezon City Mobility Clinic has assessed him and recommended a pair of hearing aids. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $800. His current equipment is 8 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined him to home for 5 weeks. With the right equipment Gilbert could get to the shops and visit friends. It would change everyday life for the whole family. We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest. I'll pay the supplier directly from the funds, and I'll post a photo once the equipment is delivered. Where the $800 goes: • Fitting and training sessions: $35 • Delivery and set-up: $10 • pair of hearing aids: $755 I'll pay this kindness forward the moment I'm able to.
