Independence for Genesis: stair-climbing aid
Genesis needs a stair-climbing aid that the health system won't fund; the cost is $8,400.

I live with muscular dystrophy. My occupational therapist at the Arlington Rehabilitation Centre has assessed me and recommended a stair-climbing aid. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $8,400.
My current equipment is 12 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined me to home for 6 weeks.
With the right equipment I could get to the shops and visit friends. It would change my everyday life and my ability to work from home.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
I'll pay the supplier directly from the funds, and I'll post a photo once the equipment is delivered.
