Independence for Eunice: prosthetic leg
Eunice needs a prosthetic leg that the health system won't fund; the cost is $1,000.
🇰🇪 Kisumu, Kisumu, KenyaPosted Sep 12, 2026679 views
Eunice lives with an amputation below the knee. The occupational therapist at the Kisumu Mobility Clinic has assessed her and recommended a prosthetic leg. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $1,000.
Her current equipment is 15 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined her to home for 7 weeks.
With the right equipment Eunice could go to school independently. It would change everyday life for the whole family.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
I'll pay the supplier directly from the funds, and I'll post a photo once the equipment is delivered.
Where the $1,000 goes:
• prosthetic leg: $950
• Delivery and set-up: $10
• Fitting and training sessions: $40
Every share and every dollar helps.
