Ethan lives with a spinal cord injury. The occupational therapist at the Saint-Étienne Rehabilitation Centre has assessed him and recommended a cochlear implant processor upgrade. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $5,300.
His current equipment is 13 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined him to home for 3 weeks.
With the right equipment Ethan could join the school sports day. It would change everyday life for the whole family.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing.
