Emery lives with an amputation below the knee. The occupational therapist at Melbourne General Hospital has assessed her and recommended a powered wheelchair. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $6,250.
Her current equipment is 9 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined her to home for 10 weeks.
With the right equipment Emery could get to the shops and visit friends. It would change everyday life for the whole family.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing.
Where the $6,250 goes:

• Delivery and set-up: $190
• First-year servicing plan: $260
