Independence for Ebuka: prosthetic leg
Help Ebuka get a prosthetic leg so He can attend work interviews.
Anywhere in the world1,067 views
Ebuka lives with an amputation below the knee. The occupational therapist at Epe General Hospital has assessed him and recommended a prosthetic leg. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $400.
His current equipment is 9 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined him to home for 4 weeks.
With the right equipment Ebuka could attend work interviews. It would change everyday life for the whole family.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing.
Where the $400 goes:
• prosthetic leg: $330
• Delivery and set-up: $25
• Fitting and training sessions: $45
