Ebuka lives with a spinal cord injury. The occupational therapist at the Wudil Rehabilitation Centre has assessed him and recommended a communication tablet with eye tracking. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $1,100.
His current equipment is 15 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined him to home for 5 weeks.
With the right equipment Ebuka could get to the shops and visit friends. It would change everyday life for the whole family.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing.
