Independence for Danish: prosthetic leg
Danish needs a prosthetic leg that the health system will not fund; the cost is $1,000.
Anywhere in the world334 views
Danish lives with multiple sclerosis. The occupational therapist at Gujranwala General Hospital has assessed him and recommended a prosthetic leg. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $1,000.
His current equipment is 12 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined him to home for 12 weeks.
With the right equipment Danish could get to the shops and visit friends. It would change everyday life for the whole family.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing.
Where the $1,000 goes:
• prosthetic leg: $900
• Fitting and training sessions: $15
• Delivery and set-up: $20
• First-year servicing plan: $65
I'll pay this kindness forward the moment I'm able to.

everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. Love from Wollongong.
Thinking of you and your family. Hope the treatment goes smoothly and recovery is quick. After 18 years in hospitality I know how hard it's to ask for anything.
