Independence for Dalia: prosthetic leg
Help Dalia get a prosthetic leg so She can get to the shops and visit friends.
🇸🇦 Madinah, Saudi Arabia118 views
Dalia lives with low vision from retinitis pigmentosa. The occupational therapist at the Medina Mobility Clinic has assessed her and recommended a prosthetic leg. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $4,350.
Her current equipment is 13 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined her to home for 12 weeks.
With the right equipment Dalia could get to the shops and visit friends. It would change everyday life for the whole family.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
I'll pay the supplier directly from the funds, and I'll post a photo once the equipment is delivered.
Where the $4,350 goes:
• First-year servicing plan: $170
• Fitting and training sessions: $130
• prosthetic leg: $4,050
Thanks for being kind about this.
