Independence for Courtney: stair-climbing aid
Help Courtney get a stair-climbing aid so She can go to school independently.
🇺🇸 California, United States243 views
I live with cerebral palsy. My occupational therapist at Los Angeles General Hospital has assessed me and recommended a stair-climbing aid. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $7,050.
My current equipment is 9 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined me to home for 4 weeks.
With the right equipment I could go to school independently. It would change my everyday life and my ability to work from home.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
I'll pay the supplier directly from the funds, and I'll post a photo once the equipment is delivered.
Where the $7,050 goes:
• stair-climbing aid: $6,750
• Delivery and set-up: $145
• Fitting and training sessions: $155
