Independence for Christina: cochlear implant processor upgrade
Help Christina get a cochlear implant processor upgrade so She can go to school independently.
🇩🇪 Nuremberg, Bavaria, Germany871 views
Christina lives with low vision from retinitis pigmentosa. The occupational therapist at Nuremberg General Hospital has assessed her and recommended a cochlear implant processor upgrade. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $400.
Her current equipment is 8 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined her to home for 4 weeks.
With the right equipment Christina could go to school independently. It would change everyday life for the whole family.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
I'll pay the supplier directly from the funds, and I'll post a photo once the equipment is delivered.
Where the $400 goes:
• First-year servicing plan: $120
• Delivery and set-up: $140
• Fitting and training sessions: $140
With deep gratitude,
Nina
