Independence for Chiara: prosthetic leg
A prosthetic leg would give Chiara independence - we're $5,400 away.

Chiara lives with muscular dystrophy. The occupational therapist at the Latina Mobility Clinic has assessed her and recommended a prosthetic leg. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $5,400.
Her current equipment is 11 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined her to home for 10 weeks.
With the right equipment Chiara could attend work interviews. It would change everyday life for the whole family.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
I'll pay the supplier directly from the funds, and I'll post a photo once the equipment is delivered.
Where the $5,400 goes:
• prosthetic leg: $4,900
• Fitting and training sessions: $210
• Delivery and set-up: $70
• First-year servicing plan: $220

Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Thinking of Latina
how is Chiara doing now?
Wishing you the best, Mattia. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Thinking of Latina.
Take care, Mattia. Looking forward to the next update. Put this on a community board in Leicester this morning. All the best!
