Envigado
Carlos lives with cerebral palsy. The occupational therapist at the Envigado Rehabilitation Centre has assessed him and recommended a prosthetic leg. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $1,600. His current equipment is 14 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined him to home for 12 weeks. With the right equipment Carlos could get to the shops and visit friends. It would change everyday life for the whole family. We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest. I'll pay the supplier directly from the funds, and I'll post a photo once the equipment is delivered. Where the $1,600 goes: • prosthetic leg: $1,500 • Fitting and training sessions: $40 • Delivery and set-up: $20 • First-year servicing plan: $40 I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen. - Ignacio
