I live with a spinal cord injury. My occupational therapist at Dublin General Hospital has assessed me and recommended a stair-climbing aid. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $6,050. My current equipment is 14 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined me to home for 12 weeks. With the right equipment I could go to school independently. It would change my everyday life and my ability to work from home. We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest. Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing. Where the $6,050 goes: • stair-climbing aid: $5,500 • Fitting and training sessions: $200 • Delivery and set-up: $210 • First-year servicing plan: $140 I'll pay this kindness forward the moment I'm able to. - Brendan
