Independence for Bilal: pair of hearing aids
Help Bilal get a pair of hearing aids so He can go to school independently.
Anywhere in the world1,146 views
Bilal lives with a spinal cord injury. The occupational therapist at the Heliopolis Mobility Clinic has assessed him and recommended a pair of hearing aids. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $550.
His current equipment is 14 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined him to home for 7 weeks.
With the right equipment Bilal could go to school independently. It would change everyday life for the whole family.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing.
Where the $550 goes:
• pair of hearing aids: $460
• Fitting and training sessions: $60
• Delivery and set-up: $25
• First-year servicing plan: $5
I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.
