Independence for Babatunde: powered wheelchair

A powered wheelchair would give Babatunde independence - we're $100 away.

Babatunde lives with an amputation below the knee. The occupational therapist at the Lagos Rehabilitation Centre has assessed him and recommended a powered wheelchair. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $100. His current equipment is 12 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined him to home for 7 weeks. With the right equipment Babatunde could join the school sports day. It would change everyday life for the whole family. We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest. I'll pay the supplier directly from the funds, and I'll post a photo once the equipment is delivered. Where the $100 goes: • Fitting and training sessions: $20 • First-year servicing plan: $50 • Delivery and set-up: $30 Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself. - Ebuka
