Independence for Axel: prosthetic leg
A prosthetic leg would give Axel independence - we're $700 away.
🇬🇧 Liverpool, England, United Kingdom1,378 views
Axel lives with profound hearing loss. The occupational therapist at the Liverpool Rehabilitation Centre has assessed him and recommended a prosthetic leg. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $700.
His current equipment is 13 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined him to home for 7 weeks.
With the right equipment Axel could go outside without waiting for someone to push. It would change everyday life for the whole family.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
I'll pay the supplier directly from the funds, and I'll post a photo once the equipment is delivered.
Where the $700 goes:
• Delivery and set-up: $70
• Fitting and training sessions: $270
• First-year servicing plan: $360
Every share and every dollar helps.
