Independence for Axel: pair of hearing aids
A pair of hearing aids would give Axel independence - we're $650 away.
🇺🇸 Sacramento, California, United States519 views
Axel lives with low vision from retinitis pigmentosa. The occupational therapist at the Sacramento Mobility Clinic has assessed him and recommended a pair of hearing aids. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $650.
His current equipment is 15 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined him to home for 6 weeks.
With the right equipment Axel could go to school independently. It would change everyday life for the whole family.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing.
Where the $650 goes:
• First-year servicing plan: $270
• Delivery and set-up: $70
• Fitting and training sessions: $310
I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.
