Autumn lives with an amputation below the knee. The occupational therapist at the Portland Mobility Clinic has assessed her and recommended a braille note-taker. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $6,900.
Her current equipment is 15 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined her to home for 10 weeks.
With the right equipment Autumn could attend work interviews. It would change everyday life for the whole family.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing.
