Independence for Aurora: braille note-taker
Help Aurora get a braille note-taker so She can attend work interviews.
🇬🇧 London, England, United KingdomPosted Jun 24, 20261,982 views
Aurora lives with cerebral palsy. The occupational therapist at the London Rehabilitation Centre has assessed her and recommended a braille note-taker. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $500.
Her current equipment is 10 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined her to home for 5 weeks.
With the right equipment Aurora could attend work interviews. It would change everyday life for the whole family.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing.
Where the $500 goes:
• First-year servicing plan: $240
• Delivery and set-up: $165
• Fitting and training sessions: $95
With deep gratitude,
Hadley

Best of luck, Hadley. Shared it with a few friends. Take care.
take care. Your post was clear and honest. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. Greetings from Naples.
