Independence for Aravind: cochlear implant processor upgrade
Help Aravind get a cochlear implant processor upgrade so He can get to the shops and visit friends.
🇮🇳 Vadodara, Gujarat, India834 views
Aravind lives with a rare neuromuscular condition. The occupational therapist at the Vadodara Mobility Clinic has assessed him and recommended a cochlear implant processor upgrade. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $500.
His current equipment is 13 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined him to home for 3 weeks.
With the right equipment Aravind could get to the shops and visit friends. It would change everyday life for the whole family.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
I'll pay the supplier directly from the funds, and I'll post a photo once the equipment is delivered.
Where the $500 goes:
• cochlear implant processor upgrade: $400
• Fitting and training sessions: $55
• Delivery and set-up: $25
• First-year servicing plan: $20
Every share and every dollar helps.
