Independence for Araba: prosthetic leg
Help Araba get a prosthetic leg so She can attend work interviews.
🇬🇭 Takoradi, Western, Ghana558 views
Araba lives with an amputation below the knee. The occupational therapist at Takoradi General Hospital has assessed her and recommended a prosthetic leg. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $100.
Her current equipment is 14 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined her to home for 5 weeks.
With the right equipment Araba could attend work interviews. It would change everyday life for the whole family.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing.
Where the $100 goes:
• Delivery and set-up: $15
• Fitting and training sessions: $40
• First-year servicing plan: $45
Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.

So sorry you're going through this, Rebecca. Wishing Araba a smooth procedure and a full recovery. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too
