Alexa lives with an amputation below the knee. The occupational therapist at Brisbane General Hospital has assessed her and recommended a powered wheelchair. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $2,600. Her current equipment is 8 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined her to home for 7 weeks. With the right equipment Alexa could go to school independently. It would change everyday life for the whole family. We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest. Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing. Where the $2,600 goes: • Fitting and training sessions: $180 • powered wheelchair: $2,100 • First-year servicing plan: $320 Ask me anything below before you decide. I'd rather you were sure. - Luke
