Agnès lives with a spinal cord injury. The occupational therapist at Ottawa General Hospital has assessed her and recommended a braille note-taker. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $3,950. Her current equipment is 14 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined her to home for 6 weeks. With the right equipment Agnès could get to the shops and visit friends. It would change everyday life for the whole family. We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest. Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing. Where the $3,950 goes: • braille note-taker: $3,450 • First-year servicing plan: $300 • Delivery and set-up: $200 If you can't give, please share this page. It does reach people.
