Imam was diagnosed with a cleft palate needing repair in April. The surgeon at Jakarta Community Hospital recommended a craniotomy, and He is scheduled for July. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $2,200, and after what my employer's plan will pay we're still $1,100 short. my son has been in and out of Jakarta Community Hospital since April. The doctors say a cleft palate needing repair will get worse without a craniotomy. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $2,200 is more than we can find. While we wait, Imam struggles with daily life and can't lift anything heavy. His family has taken turns caring for him, and I've cut my own work hours to be there. The recovery period is expected to take about 8 weeks. During that time Imam won't be able to lift anything heavy, so the costs keep growing. The money goes straight to the treatment bills, and I'll share the invoices as they're paid so you can see exactly what your gift did. Where the $1,100 goes: • Physiotherapy sessions: $120 • Hospital stay (3 nights): $380 • Pre-operative tests and imaging: $110 • Travel and lodging for the family: $75 • Surgeon and anesthesia fees: $415 Ask me anything below before you decide. I'd rather you were sure. - Hadi
