Ilham was diagnosed with cervical cancer in October. The oncology team at the Bandung Oncology Institute has planned 6 rounds of treatment, starting in January. He will be away from work for about 3 weeks. Ilham is 56, worked as a farmer until October, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to the Bandung Oncology Institute 3 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders. I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes. Where the $1,950 goes: • Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $1,450 • Scans and lab work: $125 • Transport to the Bandung Oncology Institute: $165 • Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $70 • Household costs while unable to work: $140 Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly. - Agus

  • Hang in there, Agus. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Sent it to 38 people at work. Blessings.
