Hye-jin's cataract surgery can't wait - please help us cover the bill
A scheduled cataract surgery in September is out of reach without help covering $3,700 of the cost.

Hye-jin was diagnosed with gallstones with repeated infections in July. The surgeon at Seoul Regional Medical Center recommended cataract surgery, and She is scheduled for September. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $7,500, and after what the government subsidy will pay we're still $3,700 short.
my mother has been in and out of Seoul Regional Medical Center since July. The doctors say gallstones with repeated infections will get worse without cataract surgery. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $7,500 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Hye-jin struggles with daily life and can't work a full shift. Her family has taken turns caring for her, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
Rehabilitation is expected to take about 10 weeks. During that time Hye-jin won't be able to work a full shift, so the costs keep growing.

• Physiotherapy sessions: $280
• Pre-operative tests and imaging: $440
• Surgeon and anesthesia fees: $1,350
• Hospital stay (3 nights): $1,450

Everything on the list is an amount I've been quoted or invoiced. physiotherapy sessions comes first ($280) and I'll update the page as each thing gets paid. Let me know if you want more detail.
