Hugo's cervical cancer treatment fund
8 rounds of treatment are planned at the Barranquilla Oncology Institute; we're asking for help with the costs insurance doesn't cover.

Hugo was diagnosed with cervical cancer in June. The oncology team at the Barranquilla Oncology Institute has planned 8 rounds of treatment, starting in September. He will be away from work for about 4 weeks.
Hugo is 54, worked as a construction supervisor until June, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to the Barranquilla Oncology Institute 2 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders.
Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment.
Where the $1,750 goes:
• Transport to the Barranquilla Oncology Institute: $300
• Household costs while unable to work: $430
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $165
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $855
Thanks for reading all this.

Thinking of you and your family. Look after yourselves too, caregivers need rest. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too. Blessings.
Hope things get better soon, Esteban. This could happen to any of us
take care, Esteban. I work in healthcare and wanted you to know people are on your side. Thinking of Barranquilla
Wishing Hugo a smooth procedure and a full recovery. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry. Thinking of Barranquilla.
Hope things get better soon. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Don't give up. Greetings from Freiburg.
