House fire that spread across the block in San Antonio: help the Millbrook district rebuild
Neighbors in the Millbrook district are rebuilding after the house fire that spread across the block; every contribution goes to materials and supplies.

The house fire that spread across the block hit the Millbrook district on 9 August. My home was one of 39 damaged, and 5 families are still in temporary shelter at the local school gym.
The first few days we shared what little we had. Now the cleanup has started, but we've no money for materials and winter or the rainy season is coming.
Schools in the area have been closed, and the clinic lost its cold storage for vaccines. We're a small community of working families who have never asked for help before.
We have formed a volunteer committee, and I'm the treasurer, so I'll post receipts for everything we buy.
We buy supplies locally and in bulk, so the money goes further. Receipts and photos will be posted in updates.
Where the $6,350 goes:
• Roofing sheets and timber: $2,550
• Food parcels for displaced families: $1,500
• Bedding, blankets and mattresses: $900
• Tools and labor for repairs: $1,400
Thank you so much.

hang in there, Tomás. This could happen to any of us. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like. Thinking of San Antonio
Stay strong, Tomás. Shared this with my family

Thinking of you and your family, Tomás. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Love from Jakarta
Rooting for you. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. After 22 years in customer support I know how hard it's to ask for anything. Take care
Good luck, Tomás. Hope you get there. My neighbor in Mohammedia donated after I showed her your page. God bless.
