My son Hiroshi has been accepted for treatment at the Nagoya Cancer Centre in Nagoya, starting on Thursday in May. We live 309 km away in a rural district, and hotel costs would use up what we have set aside for the treatment itself. We're looking for a room, granny flat or short-term rental within about 30 minutes of the hospital, for 4 weeks. Two of us would stay: Hiroshi and me. We can contribute $115 a week and cook for the household if you'd like. Hiroshi will have some immune precautions, so a clean, smoke-free place would be ideal. A kitchen is a bonus. Thank you. Glad we found this place.

  • Thinking of you and your family. Look after yourselves too, caregivers need rest. I went through something like this 9 years ago and strangers helped me out. Greetings from Khon Kaen!

      • Stay strong, Mei. Hope the treatment goes smoothly and recovery is quick. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry. Take care.
