Hosting wanted: Kartika travelling with Lukman to Jakarta for treatment
Lukman is coming to Jakarta University Hospital for 5 weeks of treatment and the family needs somewhere affordable to stay.

My son Lukman has been accepted for treatment at Jakarta University Hospital in Jakarta, starting on Friday in December. We live 438 km away in a village four hours away, and hotel costs would use up what we have set aside for the treatment itself.
We're looking for a room, granny flat or short-term rental within about 30 minutes of the hospital, for 5 weeks. Two of us would stay: Lukman and me. We can contribute $10 a week and cook for the household if you'd like.
Lukman will have some immune precautions, so a clean, smoke-free place would be ideal. A kitchen is a bonus. Thank you.
I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.
- effort
- 3–6 weeks
- format
- In person in Jakarta
- skills
- a spare room near the hospital

Best of luck, Kartika. This could happen to any of us. Put this on a community board in Coventry this morning. Blessings.
So sorry you're going through this. Wishing Lukman a smooth procedure and a full recovery. My neighbor in Quezon City donated after I showed her your page. All the best
Rooting for you, Kartika. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. Love from Tampa.
Wishing you the best, Kartika. Hope this works out for you.
Sending good thoughts, Kartika. Hope you get there. My brother had a similar thing happen so this one hit home. Take care.
Hang in there. Hope the treatment goes smoothly and recovery is quick. Take care!
