Help Esther patch the roof before the rainy season
The roof at Esther's home is failing; materials are donated and we need hands.

I'm a retired bus driver living in Kisumu. During the last storm water started coming through the ceiling in 4 places, and the living room is no longer usable. A roofer quoted $690, which isn't something I can pay.
The good news: a local hardware store has donated the tiles and battens. What I don't have is people to do the work. I'm looking for a small crew who can help over two Saturdays.
Experience helps, but it isn't essential - I'll have a licensed roofer supervising for safety. All you need is work boots and a hat. I'll provide lunch, water and lots of thanks.
The work will be done on the ground and roof with proper harnesses. If you can only help for a few hours, that's welcome too.
If you can't give, please share this page. It does reach people.

everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. I'm in logistics myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you. All the best
Good luck, Esther. It takes guts to ask. Well done. Greetings from Novosibirsk
