Home care fund for Zoe in Derry
Zoe, 78, needs daily care to stay at home, and the family is raising $4,550 for a carer and medicines.

I'm caring for my mother, who's 78. After a stroke last August Zoe can no longer manage alone. A nursing home would cost far more than we have, and Zoe desperately wants to stay at home.
I work 25 hours a week and have cut back to look after her, but we need a part-time carer.
Zoe worked all of her life as a factory worker, and raised 5 children. Now we're trying to give some of that care back.
Medication, a hospital bed and a carer for three months will make a huge difference.
Funds cover the carer's wages, medicines, a hospital bed rental and incontinence supplies.
Where the $4,550 goes:
• Mobility aids and bathroom adaptations: $280
• Part-time carer (three months): $3,600
• Medication and prescriptions: $670
