Home care fund for Walid in Riyadh
Walid, 77, needs daily care to stay at home, and the family is raising $1,850 for a carer and medicines.

I'm caring for my father, who's 77. After worsening Parkinson's disease Walid can no longer manage alone. A nursing home would cost far more than we have, and Walid desperately wants to stay at home.
I work 25 hours a week and have cut back to look after him, but we need a part-time carer.
Walid worked all of his life as a seamstress, and raised 2 children. Now we're trying to give some of that care back.
Medication, a hospital bed and a carer for six months will make a huge difference.
Funds cover the carer's wages, medicines, a hospital bed rental and incontinence supplies.
Where the $1,850 goes:
• Mobility aids and bathroom adaptations: $310
• Medication and prescriptions: $390
• Part-time carer (six months): $1,150

Is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Walid!
Mobility aids and bathroom adaptations is $310 of it. Everything else is listed in the story and nothing outside that list comes out of this page. Good question.
